A Larger deck is more stable and easier to catch at the end of your trick, making it a popular choice for vert riders. Where a smaller deck will be quicker to flip and easier to manoeuvre, making it an ideal direction for street riding. Skaters often experiment with different size decks to find their perfect fit, or even size down/up to help them lock in that trick they have been working on. Most common skateboard decks for adults range from 8.0" - 8.5".

However, if you are just starting out or are a casual skater, a traditional wood deck may be more practical option.

There are premium Graphics like "Ever-Slick" which features a special coating on the bottom that is designed to reduce friction and increase speed when sliding.
