LIFE JACKETS - Stay Safe & Play Hard

If you're planning to spend time on the water, whether it's boating, wakeboarding, or paddleboarding, it's important to prioritize safety. One of the most important safety measures you can take is wearing a lifejacket.

Why Wear a Lifejacket?

A lifejacket is designed to keep you afloat in the water if you fall in or are thrown from a boat. Even if you're a strong swimmer, a lifejacket can be a lifesaver in emergency situations or if you are rendered unconscious.

In fact, wearing a lifejacket is not only recommended, but in many cases, it's required by law. For example, the Coast Guard requires all boats to have a lifejacket for each person on board, and children under a certain age are required to wear a lifejacket at all times.

Coast Guard Approved Lifejackets (CGA)?

Designed to meet specific safety standards. These standards ensure that the lifejacket will keep you afloat in the water, even if you're not conscious or unable to swim. Make sure the lifejacket fits properly and is comfortable to wear, as you'll be more likely to wear it if it's comfortable.

Impact Vests?

Impact vests, also known as wakeboarding vests, are designed for wakeboarding and other high-intensity water sports. These vests are not Coast Guard Approved, as they are not designed to keep you afloat in the water. Instead, they are designed to absorb impact and protect your torso in the event of a fall.

Impact vests are typically more form-fitting and flexible, allowing for more freedom of movement. While impact vests are not a replacement for a Coast Guard Approved lifejacket, they can be a useful addition for wakeboarding and other similar activities. However, it's important to note that impact vests should never be used as a substitute for a lifejacket in emergency situations.

Stay safe and have fun on the water!
